Biological Activity

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (oxidized form, NAD⁺) is a central redox cofactor and signaling metabolite. In cellular systems, NAD⁺ supports mitochondrial energy metabolism (electron transport/oxidative phosphorylation) and serves as a substrate for NAD⁺-consuming enzymes (e.g., sirtuins, PARPs, CD38/CD157), linking it to pathways involved in DNA repair, stress responses, and metabolic regulation.

In Vitro / In Vivo Data

  • Widely used in cell and biochemical assays to probe redox state (NAD⁺/NADH), mitochondrial function, and enzyme kinetics of NAD⁺-dependent pathways.

  • Common cell-culture working ranges: ~10–1000 µM (protocol-dependent).

  • For animal work or specialized protocols, follow your lab’s SOPs and primary literature for solvent, vehicle, and target concentrations.
(Experimental conditions vary by model; validate in pilot runs.)

Purity & Documentation

  • Purity (HPLC): ≥99%

  • Independently verified for identity and potency

  • COA, SDS, and HPLC/LC-MS data provided for each lot

Molecular Details
